Prostate Cancer

Posted on Posted in Prostate

Prostate cancer is a disease in which cancer cells form in the normal tissues of the prostate gland. The signs of prostate cancer include frequent urination, decreased flow of urine, or back pain.

Blood and imaging tests check the prostate. Diagnosis requires a tissue biopsy. Once a diagnosis is made a dedicated imaging test is used to stage the prostate for prognosis.

Treatment options include surgery, radiation, anti-hormone therapy, and chemotherapy.
